Our History & Timeline
A long time ago, in an office not that far away, our founder, Justin Hayden, started this company with one goal: To bring high-quality IT Support & Cybersecurity to all businesses in an effortless, pain-free process, regardless of size or industry.
At the time, most small and mid-sized businesses were left to fend for themselves when it came to tech and security. Justin knew there had to be a better way. He also realized the digital world was here to stay, and it came with serious risks. Most businesses weren’t ready. They didn’t have the time, tools, or resources to stay ahead of the threats.
Justin set out to change all that, one client at a time. What started out as a one-man shop has grown to a team of 15 skilled professionals who care deeply about protecting and supporting the businesses in and around our community. Over the years, the threats have evolved. But so have we. But what hasn’t changed is our belief that good IT support starts with good people.

Justin Hayden founded Securus Systems, Inc.
2013
Securus Systems grows to a team of 6.
2014
Securus Systems expands our reach up and down the West Coast. (CA, ID, WA, OR, HI, NV)
2016
The newest member of our team is a German Shepherd named Princess Leia.
2018
Securus wins VBJ award for Top Technology Support & Service Companies.
2021
Now, a team of 15, Securus expands to our very own operation center.
2024
Securus continues our community involvement by judging the Skills USA IT competition.
Community Involvement
Securus is passionate about supporting the community in which we live. Here are just a few of the ways we give back:
Cascadia Technical Academy – We regularly donate equipment to Cascadia Technical Academy, which offers hands-on career and technical education through a partnership of ten Southwest Washington school districts. This ensures the next generation of IT professionals can gain valuable hands-on experience. We also offer their engineering students a resume workshop, complete with mock interviews, so students are prepared after graduation.
Skills USA – Each year, we volunteer as judges in the Skills USA competition in Tacoma, WA. This Workforce Development Organization prepares students for careers in the trades, helping students grow technical skills and leadership so they’re ready for Washington’s changing job market.
Golf Tournament Sponsorships – From sponsoring a hole at the Vancouver Chamber Women’s Golf Tournament to sponsoring the luncheon for Cascadia Tech’s tournament, we love to get out in the community and help others come together for a good cause.
Christmas Family Adoption – Securus purchases gifts for a different local family each year for the holidays. This is a cause every Securus team member looks forward to supporting each holiday season.
Catholic Community Services Annual Luncheon – Fighting poverty and homelessness in the area, this non-profit is dear to our hearts and receives our support year after year.
