This year marked our third time serving as judges at the Washington State SkillsUSA Competition. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization that empowers students by giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their professional skills in industry-focused competitions at the local, state, and national levels.
This year, four members of our team attended the Washington State competition, proudly representing Securus and our ongoing commitment to supporting students competing in the IT categories. These students have spent countless hours preparing for this moment by honing their technical skills and learning industry standards in their technical programs. Being judges allows us to see firsthand the results of their hard work and dedication.
Participating in SkillsUSA competitions gives us a meaningful way to give back to the community while engaging with students who are eager to learn and succeed. It’s always rewarding to watch them take on real‑world challenges and gain confidence as they apply what they’ve learned. Supporting up‑and‑coming students and seeing their commitment pay off reinforces why our involvement matters.
